Professional DPF Cleaning in Ireland

Off-vehicle DPF cleaning with before-and-after flow reports for cars, vans, trucks and commercial vehicles.

What is DPF cleaning?

A DPF traps soot and ash from diesel exhaust gases. Over time, the filter can become restricted, causing poor performance, warning lights, failed regeneration, limp mode and excessive exhaust backpressure.

Professional DPF cleaning helps restore flow through the filter where the internal core is still physically intact.

Why Choose TurboCentre for DPF Cleaning?

Signs your DPF may need cleaning

  • DPF warning light on dashboard
  • Limp mode
  • Poor acceleration
  • High fuel consumption
  • Frequent regeneration attempts
  • Strong exhaust smell
  • Turbo failure caused by exhaust backpressure
  • Fault codes relating to DPF pressure, regeneration or exhaust restriction

Our cleaning process

  • Pre-cleaning flow test

We test the DPF restriction before cleaning.

  • Machine cleaning

The DPF is cleaned using controlled water, air pulses and cleaning solution.

  • Reverse-flow cleaning

Contamination is pushed out from the filter structure to improve cleaning effectiveness.

  • Drying and final test

The DPF is dried and retested.

  • Before and after report

A report is provided showing the improvement in flow/pressure.

A DPF may not be recoverable if the internal ceramic core is melted, cracked, broken, heavily oil-soaked or physically damaged. In these cases, replacement may be required.

DPF Cleaning FAQ

No. If the internal ceramic core is melted, cracked, broken or heavily contaminated with oil or coolant, replacement may be required.

DPF cleaning can restore filter flow, but the original vehicle fault must also be diagnosed and repaired. Common causes include injector faults, EGR problems, sensor faults, oil burning, turbo issues, thermostat faults or failed regeneration.

Yes. Where applicable, we provide before-and-after flow or pressure test results to show the improvement after cleaning.

Yes. Excessive exhaust backpressure from a blocked DPF can affect turbocharger operation and may contribute to turbocharger failure.

Yes. This is an off-vehicle DPF cleaning service. The DPF must be removed from the vehicle before cleaning.

Important note — cleaning does not fix the root cause

DPF cleaning restores the filter flow, but it does not repair the reason why the DPF blocked in the first place. The vehicle may still need diagnosis for injector issues, EGR faults, turbo problems, oil burning, sensor faults, glow plug issues, thermostat faults or failed regeneration.
